Borsalino Daimaru Tokyo Store Reopens
Founded in 1857 in Alessandria, the capital of the Piedmont region in northern Italy, Borsalino is a hat manufacturer. Next year marks its 160th anniversary, and the company continues to uphold its traditional processes using machinery and wooden molds, with all production carried out by artisans' hands.
It is the only brand in the world that handles the entire process of felt hat production, from material to finished product, in-house. A key characteristic is its use of high-quality fur felt, made from rabbit fur. Today, the brand has become so synonymous with soft hats that the term "Borsalino hat" is sometimes used to refer to soft hats in general.

There are four directly managed stores in Tokyo, and one of them, the Borsalino Daimaru Tokyo Store, will reopen after renovation on September 2nd. It will relocate to the 8th floor, the same floor as the existing store. While maintaining the hat bar-inspired design, the shop will transition from its current open-plan layout to a more enclosed, box-like structure, allowing customers to browse more leisurely.
The current store is scheduled to remain open until the day before the reopening.
