Featuring Items Produced by Masters

Junrian is a shop opened by Osamu Shigematsu, the founder and honorary chairman of United Arrows. Junri means to follow reason (kotowari). Its philosophy is to "transmit and promote the inheritance of a single, authentic Japanese standard of beauty—THE GENUINE NIPPON STANDARD—to the next generation through the creation of a retail store filled with the high spirituality and aesthetic sense of Japan and its people."

The Junrian store was inspired by "Sukiya-zukuri," a traditional Japanese architectural style, and features solid wood and earthen walls. The aim was to create a space where one can experience authentic Japanese beauty.

The items handled include clothing and household goods.

The collection includes men's jackets, coats, and women's dresses and stoles, all made from hand-woven fabrics like "Lemon Grass" produced by Genbei Yamaguchi, the tenth-generation master weaver of Kyoto's "Kondaya Genbei," and silk fabrics from Yuki, Yonezawa, and Hamamatsu. All are sewn in cooperative factories within Japan.

Additionally, a small selection of items chosen from various production areas across the country are available, and custom orders are accepted. Products produced by Taishuke Murao of Kyoto's renowned woodcraft and lacquerware studio "Taishando," such as woodwork and lacquerware, are also handled.
