Sukezane“I don’t usually wear combat-style boots, but I’ve been secretly keeping an eye on this season’s Gucci leather boots, which have a distinct 80s SKINS vibe, because of their excellent silhouette and details.

The body is made of high-quality leather, and the sole is a tough rubber lug sole. The side zipper makes them easy to put on and take off, and I like that they have a slim silhouette. The iconic green-red-green web stripe is on the side, and they come with red and white laces, which is a nice touch as you can swap them out to match your outfit.

In the lookbook, the pants were tucked into the boots, and the way the long laces were wrapped around the top once in a SKINS-esque knot was striking. It reminded me a bit of the Palladium boots I used to wear a lot when they were popular in high school.”
