Loewe Renovates and Reopens at Hankyu Men's Osaka
LOEWE has relocated and reopened its shop at Hankyu Men's Osaka on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. The modern space, based on the "Casa" concept championed by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, offers a wide selection of Loewe's signature high-quality ready-to-wear, leather goods, and accessories, combining high fashion with functionality. Additionally, from Wednesday, August 15, to Monday, September 10, the "Loewe Blanket Collection," featuring a curated selection of textiles from around the world, was exhibited in the concourse window on the first floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store. This collection is a masterpiece by Jonathan, who has a deep love for textiles. We report on this with comments from our editor, Yuma Tomoki, who visited the Hankyu Umeda Main Store.

Loewe Blankets Collection Showcased for a Limited Time
The Loewe Blanket Collection, born from collaborations between Loewe and artisans worldwide, featured works primarily presented at Milan Salone this spring.
Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, a devoted admirer of textiles, visited over 100 ateliers across four continents for this project, transforming carefully selected materials into unique tapestries, blankets, and tote bags.
The collection is scheduled to be available at Casa Loewe Omotesando and Loewe Ginza in late September, with pre-orders being accepted in advance. These one-of-a-kind items, underpinned by cultural traditions and generational know-how from around the globe, are special pieces that fans and non-fans alike will want to acquire.
All proceeds from this initiative will be donated to charitable organizations supporting educational advancement for women in minority groups in Central and South America and Africa, as well as to promote traditional crafts worldwide.
Yuma"Against the backdrop of documentary footage showcasing artisans from seven countries—India, Ecuador, Japan, Spain, Italy, France, and Senegal—the window display, featuring original blankets and tapestries, was truly breathtaking, worthy of being called an art piece and offering a compelling visual experience."
"I find it fascinating how they are attempting things no other brand has achieved, blending the exceptional craftsmanship of artisans, Jonathan's creativity and dedication, and cutting-edge technology to create these designs."
"At the Omotesando store as well, they've collaborated with Tomoo Hamada, the third-generation potter from Hamada Kiln, and displayed antique ceramics by the first-generation master Shoji Hamada and his son Shinsaku. Jonathan's sensibility elevates traditional crafts and artisanal techniques, cultivated over many years, into a contemporary form."
"I believe Jonathan is initiating a new movement, one that transcends the boundaries between luxury fashion and fast fashion, declaring everything as 'mode'."
The Coveted Hooded Jacket is Available First at Loewe Hankyu Men's Osaka!
Furthermore, on August 29, the Loewe men's shop on the second floor of Hankyu Men's Osaka was relocated and reopened.
We invite you to experience Loewe's latest collection firsthand in a more refined space, imbued with Jonathan Anderson's aesthetic.

Yuma"Ever since Jonathan became Creative Director, one artistic store after another has opened. This time too, although it's part of a department store, the shop is filled with Jonathan's creative vision. The hooded jacket with the LOEWE logo on the chest, released first to commemorate the opening of this store, has a likable, school-like feel. While all the other items are lovely, I'm personally drawn to the long mouton coat."
