In the early 1900s, founder Theodore Grimmeisen devised a sneaker that combined canvas with a rubber sole using a unique manufacturing method, initially as a tennis shoe. The brand name "Spring Court" was launched in 1936, inspired by how the shoes seemed to bounce like springs on the tennis court. These canvas sneakers, easily slipped on and off with three Velcro straps, feature a classic aesthetic characteristic of the French brand. The iconic four ventilation eyelets on each side remain.
