SukezaneAs someone who adores coats, when it comes to footwear for spring coats, sneakers are the only answer. While I opt for smart lace-up shoes in autumn and winter, as the weather gets warmer, the combination of a light coat and sneakers is simply the best! I believe.

And what perfectly captures the current mood are the new 'Triple S' from Balenciaga. These sneakers boast an overwhelming presence, fusing the soles of running, basketball, and track shoes, with an upper treated for a used look. I've been wearing them almost every day.

Before wearing them, I wondered if they might be heavy, but once you get used to them, they're quite comfortable. Initially, I struggled to figure out what bottoms to pair them with, but I'm finding that flared pants work best. I always thought heel boots were the ideal match for flared pants, but these sneakers pair surprisingly well too! It was an unexpected discovery.

My go-to combination this spring (and really, all the time) is a coat that billows in the wind, paired with sneakers. Old-school sneakers are great, but these nylon mesh types are also a fantastic option right now. I think voluminous sneakers look absolutely killer with a coat in a loose silhouette.
