"The Return of the Spectator Shoe"
This installment of THE★BEST7 revisits "Spectator Shoes," following our first feature. It's not that we've run out of ideas. As Editor Demon King Tomoki Yusuke deeply cherishes spectator shoes, we want to introduce them again and again.

Vol. 14: "The Return of the Spectator Shoe" [kὰmbənéɪʃən ʃúz, əgén]
YusukeThinking back, it was half a year ago. The theme of the very first installment of this series was 'Spectator Shoes.' Why spectator shoes again, less than a year later? Because I felt a subtle trend emerging for spectator shoes, which I adore. As a true enthusiast, I felt motivated. In the name of fandom, I had to dive deep and research them anew!
Now, the greatest appeal of spectator shoes is their ability to add a stylish focal point to your feet. When shoes become more eye-catching, there's more room for playfulness, making styling more enjoyable. Of course, selecting 'good quality shoes' or 'only authentic styles' is a valid approach, but that alone can lead to a basic and conservative look. I find it a bit uninspired.
Pairing spectator shoes with an outfit slightly disrupts the expected harmony. This, in turn, makes the overall coordination instantly more interesting. This principle applies to both men's and women's fashion. Their presence deserves more attention. My personal enthusiasm continues, of course. When the weather warms up a bit more, I'd love to wear them with bare feet, stepping out with confidence.
