Vol. 6: "Dressy Blousons!" GUCCI
The series, helmed by Editor Demon King Tomoki Yusuke, enters its sixth installment, hitting its stride with ever-increasing momentum. This time, we've opted for a military blouson, deliberately styled away from casual wear. Simply throwing it over a T-shirt and jeans feels like a relic of the past—or perhaps five pasts ago. We propose a stylish approach, focusing on color coordination.

Tomoki“As a former baseball player, I have a reflex to want to wear a stadium jumper whenever I see one. But when I actually try it on, I end up scolding myself, thinking, ‘This isn’t right.’ It’s a complex mix of embarrassment that my childhood admiration for stadium jumpers is showing, and nostalgia. For me, the stadium jumper is a devilish item that I tell myself I shouldn’t wear, yet I can’t help but put it on.
It’s like a baseball glove. Even if I’m not actually playing baseball, I feel compelled to buy one when I walk into a sporting goods store. I think the desire to wear a stadium jumper is similar to the feeling of wanting something you couldn't get as a child, but can now afford as an adult. The fact that a coveted item from my youth has evolved into something luxurious and attainable feels like a bottomless pit.
The Louis Vuitton stadium jumper is a classic bi-color piece in moleskin satin. With its college-style patches, V emblem, and signature on the back, it retains a preppy vibe. The Gucci stadium jumper, adorned with rainbow-colored patches on the back, instantly reminded me of the old Houston Astros. I have fond memories of the team’s rainbow uniforms from the Astrodome, the setting for the movie ‘The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training.’ Regardless, the stadium jumper is undeniably a super dangerous item that irresponsibly stimulates adult nostalgia.”
