Refinement, For Your Own Pleasure
Shoes, watches, leather accessories… To the uninitiated, a man with particular tastes might seem demanding. This perception, however, only arises when he actively promotes the value of his possessions. Most men choose exceptional pieces not for ostentation, but for the sheer joy of personal ownership. Wearing shoes like John Lobb's, after all, enriches the spirit and fosters a distinct inner confidence.
Acquiring such masterpieces allows one to compensate for perceived shortcomings, approach an ideal self, and cultivate self-assurance. This newfound confidence naturally translates into a more poised demeanor, radiating an inner charm. While it might seem reliant on material possessions, the Japanese, in particular, hold a deep appreciation for the aesthetic of restraint.
Therefore, should one not arm oneself with these exceptional pieces before venturing into the arena of business?
The perfect supporting cast for such endeavors has arrived from John Lobb. The collection includes the "En Wallet" and a bi-fold wallet, both tailored to Japanese banknote dimensions, alongside a sophisticated cardholder.
Two distinct leather types are offered: the exquisite Museum calf, renowned for its exquisite beauty, and the new "Caviar" and "Rasp" series, featuring fine grain embossing. Rasp refers to the metal file used in finishing the wooden lasts for John Lobb's bespoke shoes. This tool is indispensable to the narrative of John Lobb's bespoke footwear. After measuring a client's foot and shaping the wood accordingly, the last is meticulously refined, with fine details and subtle curves carefully filed. The resulting perfect, elegant last represents the crucial first step in crafting handmade shoes.
The "Rasp" series features calfskin with a pattern inspired by the surface of this rasp, combined with smooth leather. The "En Wallet" is designed with Japanese bill sizes in mind, boasting a gusseted bill compartment, a zippered coin pocket, and card slots for eight cards. The "Cardholder," meanwhile, presents a sharp aesthetic with its diagonally cut slit pockets and a slim, gusset-free design, allowing it to slip discreetly into a suit's breast pocket. For those who carry a larger number of business cards, the "Cardholder 2" with a gusset is also available.
Beyond your shoes, every aspect of your presentation is observed the moment you step outside. To enhance your allure, embrace the subtle armament of John Lobb's leather accessories.
