Sleek and Smart: Jackets and Trousers Alike!
In the world of men's tailoring, subtle changes and improvements are made to align with the times, expressing the designer's clear message. While respecting the constraints of the long-standing history of clothing, fresh imagery emerges from the fabrics used and silhouettes that fit the era.
This season, Margaret Howell's silhouettes have clearly evolved. The jacket lapels are slightly narrower than last season, and the sleeves are tailored to be a bit slimmer. While creating a smart and modern line overall, the structured, British silhouette remains. The trousers also feature a more pronounced tapered silhouette, contributing to a generally sleek impression.
NEW FABRIC “P.O.W”
Smart and Comfortable
New Setup
A refreshing navy setup made with "P.O.W (Prince of Wales)" fabric from Fox Brothers, known for its quality. The jacket's impression is slimmer compared to the traditional box silhouette due to subtle adjustments in the gorge line (the seam between the upper and lower lapel) and other fine details. However, when worn, the comfort is surprisingly greater than its appearance suggests. Enjoy a sleek style with the more tapered trousers.
NEW FABRIC “Pinstripe”
Easy to Coordinate as Separates
The Charm of the Jacket
The Fox Brothers fabric used by Margaret Howell is "Super 120's," characterized by its suppleness and a lightweight, custom specification. This light grey pinstripe offers a basic yet smart impression. With the silhouette changes this season, both the jacket and trousers are easier to coordinate as separates, expanding styling possibilities. The fundamental approach is to use the setup for business, and then pair it with casual items on weekends to create an elegant weekend style.
NEW FABRIC “Wool tropical”
Clean & Modern
Silhouette for Striding Through the City
A new silhouette born from Margaret Howell's skillful tailoring, imbued with respect for British tradition in its fabric. The unpretentious silhouette, created by the balance of curved forms and straight cuts, allows for elegant and modern styling from business to off-duty. Achieve your own suit style by adding accents with a shirt and tie to this subdued charcoal grey setup.
WORK STYLE ITEMS
Left: A refined shirt is a must-have item this spring and summer. We've selected a plain type made from fine-count fabric typically used for dress shirts. The high collar matches well with ties, and a tone-on-tone combination with a solid tie is on-trend. Its smooth texture makes it an indispensable piece.
Left: Tote and shoulder bags, specially ordered from Porter, are also available. Utilizing Porter's technical expertise, they are perfectly crafted for business, comfortably fitting a laptop and featuring excellent pocket functionality. The utility design also makes them suitable for casual weekend use.
WORK STYLE ITEMS
Left: Margaret Howell's original shoes, featuring a newly revised last (shoe form) this season. The plain-toe design with a shorter nose emphasizes a more British aesthetic, manufactured in a high-skill Italian factory. They are versatile enough for both dress and casual wear.
Right: A new shoe care set, perfect for your own collection or as a gift. This original set features the Margaret Howell logo on a classic series from a renowned British cream and brush manufacturer. It's always a pleasure to walk the streets with impeccably polished shoes.
“FOX BROTHERS”
Margaret Howell has favored Fox Brothers fabrics since launching her brand in 1970. "I was truly excited when I saw the old-fashioned, yet incredibly high-quality striped fabric," Margaret recalls.
Their commitment to ongoing research and development, alongside their rich history, has earned them the prestigious "Queens Award to Industry" three times – an unparalleled achievement. Their exceptional quality has long been a staple on London's Savile Row, and the garments gain character with every wear.
