──What is the theme/concept for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection?

This season's theme is "Street Violinist." A man who lives by the sea is tuning his violin by the roadside. As he begins to play, coins are tossed his way, and he takes a coffee break. He moves to another spot and starts playing again, more coins fall his way, and this time he takes an ice cream break. The man who loves to play doesn't stop his violin even as night falls. He spends his time entertaining everyone, then refreshes himself with a day at the beach. And sometimes, he's a man of few words, letting his actions speak for him.

──What were your points of focus for this season's look shoot, and what should people pay attention to?

We challenged ourselves with a parody of the photograph "Indre's violin," which depicts a woman's seated back view as a violin, and we too let our backs do the talking.

──What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Autumn/Winter collection?

Last year incorporated a sporty taste, whereas this season we've introduced variations by using interesting materials for classic men's items and by creating a lighter finish.

Focus on Felted Wool Coats and N3B Parkas with Boa Lining

──What is the key look (coordination) for this season?

A wool coat paired with a bleached check shirt and bow tie creates his unique formal wear. The bleached check shirt, printed with a fortissimo mark and hip line, makes for a striking impression from behind.

──What are the key items and key colors?

The key items are the felted wool coat and the N3B parka with boa lining. The key colors are navy and olive.

──What "materials" did you focus on this season?

Wool, which has been made thick and felted further for a rich texture, and a material with a wave motif created using quilted jacquard.


──Please express "this season's mood" in one word.

Be water / Be happy

SURFING, Jiu-Jitsu, TRAVEL (Designer Yuji Sekine)
