FLISTFIA 2015-16 Autumn/Winter Collection
Sporty and Clean Autumn/Winter Styling
FLISTFIA proposes items that, "once purchased casually, you find yourself reaching for them every morning, becoming beloved over time, offering the worn-in feel of vintage clothing and highlighting material textures." This season marks a significant milestone with the release of full-length trousers, leading to the brand's first-ever full-body coordinated photoshoot.

We Want You to Feel the Overall Balance and Atmosphere
──What was the theme/concept for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection?
Each season, we don't set a specific grand theme; we create based on our mood at the time. Fundamentally, we aim for creations that balance quality and price, allowing the item's charm to emerge naturally through personal wear.
──What were the points of focus and what should people pay attention to in this season's lookbook shoot?
Previously, we had only released shorts, so our look shoots were limited to knee-length. However, this season, with the release of full-length trousers, it was our first time shooting full-body looks. Therefore, we were very conscious of the overall balance and atmosphere.
──What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Autumn/Winter collection?
Last autumn/winter, we aimed for a classic and chic atmosphere. This season, we've created more basic items, envisioning an autumn/winter that is sporty, clean, and light in impression. We also produced many set-up items, which I believe gives it a new kind of feel.
──What is the key look (coordination) for this season?
As a cut-and-sew brand, all items are naturally made from cut-and-sew materials. However, we created full-body looks that embody the FLISTFIA style using items not typically made from cut-and-sew, such as denim, denim jackets, blazers, and oiled coats. We aimed to express cut-and-sew that doesn't look like cut-and-sew.
A Denim Jacket That's Cut-and-Sew, Yet Not
──What are the key items and key colors?
We created a denim jacket using the same denim fabric we've been producing since last season. The detailed stitching and construction are identical to a woven denim jacket, and it's sewn in a factory specializing in woven denim. Thus, it's a denim jacket made from cut-and-sew material, but it doesn't feel like it. It's paired with full-length denim trousers, creating a set-up. You can experience the exceptional comfort of cut-and-sew – its lightness and stretch – in denim form.
──What "materials" did you focus on this season?
The brushed fabric used for the jacket, sweatpants, and scarf has a lining knitted with colored yarn, which is subtle in the image. The outer layer is a heathered cotton sweatshirt fabric, but the lining is a wool blend, providing warmth and a wintery texture.
Additionally, the fabric used for the coats and hoodies is a densely woven jersey, created using a special method with two threads, which is then treated with oil and paraffin. It's a cut-and-sew fabric that appears almost like woven material due to its stiffness and the unique texture of the oiled finish.
──Please express "this season's mood" in one word.
Basic
──What inspires the brand's (designer's) creativity?
Things I see in daily life and Scandinavian vintage furniture.
