Proposing 90s Street Style for Today

Designed by Hirofumi Kiyonaga and Hiroshi Fujiwara, uniform experiment offers a contemporary take on classic street culture. Their approach to “premium streetwear” for adults, blending chic sophistication with playful elements, remains captivating this season.

Focus on the Faux-Layered Mods Coat

──What is the theme/concept for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection?

This season, we're presenting silhouettes and styling inspired by 90s street culture, reinterpreted for today. Key details include iconic star typography graphics and brand logos integrated into tape, along with indigo tones styled in a mature, refined manner.

──What is the key look (coordination) this season?

The key look is a faux-layered mods coat, combining a 13-ounce denim coat with a nylon parka. It's a technical piece showcasing uniform experiment's signature ingenuity by docking denim and nylon. The deep-colored rigid denim paired with navy nylon creates a fresh, sophisticated, one-tone palette.

A Sold-Out Item Returns After Two Seasons

──What are the key items and key colors?

We're introducing an Alpha-exclusive leather MA-1, a high-spec fleece blouson using Polartec's "Thermal Pro" – their highest standard fleece fabric – and side-gore sneakers in collaboration with shoe brand "Amb."

The Alpha-exclusive leather MA-1, a product that sold out instantly two seasons ago, is back in new camel and navy colorways. Its exceptionally soft feel makes it true military wear for adults.

The fleece blouson, boasting high specs comparable to real mountain gear, comes in two styles: a zip-up and a half-zip pullover. The striped fabric is a custom-developed textile exclusively for uniform experiment.

The side-gore sneakers are a mid-cut slip-on, marking the first collaboration with "Amb." The suede uppers come in four colors, with the heel tape, a signature of uniform experiment this season, adding a subtle contrast and playful touch.
