A New Beginning: The 6th Year's Collection Unveiled
Western costumes, Edwardian, Victorian, Baroque, tailored, workwear, military… The clothes from TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. are born from designer Takahiro Miyashita's own creations and the deconstruction and reconstruction of existing historical pieces. This season, TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. repeats the cycle of destruction and reconstruction, sounding the first code that creates a narrative. Let us first lend an ear to the intro.

This Season's Collection is Entirely Monotone
──What is the theme/concept for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection?
"INTRO." The beginning of an intro suggests the start of a story.
──What were the key points you focused on for this season's look shoot, and what should people pay attention to?
Having completed five years since its debut, TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. has finished its tuning and is now playing a new intro.
Echoing John Lennon's album 'Double Fantasy,' released after his five-year hiatus as a househusband, we present a collection in black, with looks in black.
──What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Autumn/Winter collection?
This season's collection is entirely monotone, featuring black, white, and gray. Starting this season, we have begun presenting our collections in Paris through showroom presentations. The first collection presented in Paris is composed primarily of more conceptual items.
──What is the key look (coordination) for this season?
It's the look featuring the "customized jacket." This jacket is characterized by its specially shortened cut-off length and is adorned with hand-knitted Western-style braids made of lambskin throughout.
The conchos, metal buttons, and hooks are all handmade originals, created in collaboration with "END," who we commission for our silver accessory production. As the name "customized jacket." suggests, the inspiration comes from customized costume jackets.
The Concho Series is a Key Item
──What are the key items and key colors?
The key item is the series featuring conchos. Like the "customized jacket.," it incorporates hand-knitted Western-style braids made of lambskin throughout, along with handmade brand-original conchos, metal buttons, and hooks. These are not merely decorative; they bring a significant presence as accessories to the clothing of TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. The key color is black.
