ANTHOLOGIE 2015-16 Autumn/Winter Collection

A Debut Collection Proposing Minimalist Style

Designer Keiji Ogawa, after working as a shop staffer and in sales at Comme des Garçons, went independent. He learned garment making through self-study and made his debut this season with the brand "ANTHOLOGIE." We asked him to explain the collection, which interprets the roots of uniforms and workwear through his unique sensibility.

Text by Makoto KAJII (OPENERS)

The Debut Collection's Theme is "INTO THE REDOCEAN"

──What is the theme/concept for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection?

The theme for the debut collection is "INTO THE REDOCEAN." As our inaugural collection, we approached it with complete freedom in our chosen style.

──What points did you focus on for this season's lookbook shoot, and what should people pay attention to?

We're proposing a minimalist style. We took well-tailored items and pieces made with high-quality materials and deconstructed them with elements like distressed finishes and denim.

──What is the key look (coordination) for this season?

The coordination shown in the photo above.
