THE BRITISH STYLE

The "LIGHT FLANNEL DOGTOOTH" (pictured left), from FOX BROTHERS, appears solid at first glance but features a subtle navy tone-on-tone dogtooth pattern. It showcases the manufacturer's unique technique and playful spirit, as they were the first to develop flannel. This soft fabric set is paired with a striped shirt and a regimental stripe tie for a striking contrast, creating an intellectual impression. The set made from "SUPER FINE SERGE" (pictured right) is versatile, suitable for both dressy and casual occasions. It is characterized by the brushed texture and elegant sheen typical of the autumn/winter season. Paired with a high-gauge turtleneck knit, it achieves a clean, sophisticated look that isn't overly casual. This Italian-made knit, crafted from fine yarn, is comfortable enough to wear against the skin and is a recommended piece for autumn.

Classic British Attire

Lovat, established in Scotland in 1900, is a heritage fabric manufacturer renowned for its tweed created for military wear. Their "FINE MERINO SHADOW CHECK" (pictured left) offers a subdued aesthetic composed solely of grey tones, suitable from early autumn through spring. For this piece, we recommend a classic ensemble featuring a cardigan specially ordered from John Smedley and a shirt of refined texture. The "SUPERFINE TWILL" from FOX BROTHERS (pictured right) is characterized by a chic, elegant sheen unique to British textiles. This twill weave, with its deep color, results in a supple jacket. A beautiful, slightly bluish light grey shirt subtly enhances the elegant look. The cotton trousers are notable for their substantial weight and crisp, durable texture, featuring a tapered cut from hip to hem that creates an exquisite silhouette.

Playful Accessories

Elegant accessories elevate dressed-up looks. This season, Margaret Howell offers a diverse range of ties suitable for both formal and relaxed jacket styles. Designs range from playful motifs featuring embroidered couples to classic dots and stripes. Scarves that add a touch of accent to any outfit are also not to be missed. As the autumn breeze arrives, consider the unconstructed jacket. Its casual design with patch pockets and a light feel, crafted from a cotton-wool blend, is ideal. Paired with a boxy, open-collar shirt and denim from Edwin, it creates a relaxed atmosphere. The sneakers are a special order model from "New Balance for MARGARET HOWELL," making their return after a year's absence.
