Masaaki Ida, a stylist who started playing soccer in elementary school and continued through adulthood, always keeps an eye on sports brands. Naturally, he's been watching <MEYBA> closely. This season, he's chosen some standout sporty pieces from <MEYBA> and mixed them with his personal wardrobe!

Popular emerging stylist Masaaki Ida has curated looks incorporating his personal wardrobe! Ida, who always pays attention to sports brands in addition to high fashion and streetwear labels, has set his sharp eye on MEYBA, finding true gems!

“At first glance, there’s an aura about it that says it’s more than just a sports brand. The pastel color palette feels very high-fashion, and I thought that was quite appealing.”

He began selecting items right away.

“I paired this jacket, the softest in the collection with its distinctive pink and sky-blue hues, with a classic pair of jeans. The color alone feels very current, so just throwing this on instantly elevates the look.”

Ida styled it with authentic Levi's 501s, and with the addition of coin loafers, he created a preppy-inspired ensemble.

Next, he picked up… bibs. These are simple vests typically used for team divisions in practice matches.

“At first glance, they might seem like a difficult item to style, but they’re great when used casually, almost like an accessory. Simply pairing them with a soft-looking suit can completely change the suit’s impression. They’re actually quite versatile.”

He then paired it with a setup from his favorite brand, <Cudos>, creating a completely new street-inspired look.

Next, he chose some bottoms.

“These bottoms have more impact than they might appear at first glance. They feature geometric patterns on the sides, red piping, and the number ‘10’ – irresistible for any soccer enthusiast (laughs). I paired them with a chic black turtleneck and a simple, plain hooded coat; a combination that highlights the pants.”

It was an exquisite coordination that exuded adult sophistication while fully bringing out the casual elements.

Finally, he selected a tie-dye coach jacket, a quintessential piece of sportswear.

“I find this pink tie-dye quite unusual. Coach jackets have been popular for the past few years, but this color is exceptional. I tend to wear pastels and softer colors in my wardrobe anyway. I pondered how to pair this pink, but I settled on soft-toned gray pants, which complement pastel colors beautifully.”

The styling, which perfectly captured the essence of 'cheap chic,' was truly impressive. We're grateful to Ida for embodying adult chic!
