Functional Beauty Born from the Pursuit of Craftsmanship

DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN

Descente, a leading Japanese sportswear manufacturer, has fused its long-cultivated technical expertise with high-design sensibilities to create the brand DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN. "ALLTERRAIN" is a coined term combining "ALL" and "TERRAIN," signifying its concept of adapting to all situations.

EXCLUSIVE for
JOURNAL STANDARD

This coat, in a tailored silhouette, is crafted from Ventile, an ultra-high-density 100% cotton fabric offering both water resistance and breathability. JOURNAL STANDARD commissioned this piece in black. It features Descente's proprietary Double-Motion Hood system.

Zippered vents on both sides and at the collar ensure ventilation even when wearing a backpack. The use of YKK's AquaGuard zipper, which can be opened without lowering the slider, allows for easy donning and doffing despite the pullover design.

A hooded blouson with a concealed placket. The interior is seam-taped for high water resistance. Descente's unique BOA Closure System, with its rotating knob, allows for a customized fit and enhanced performance.

Reflecting on "true craftsmanship," the collection distills essential functions and is constructed with only refined components, minimizing decorative elements. Consequently, beauty in functional form is evident throughout.

Transcending age and occasion, and unaffected by trends, these items embody Descente's craftsmanship and philosophy. The brand has already garnered global acclaim, with two of its products receiving Gold Awards at ISPO Munich 2014, an international trade fair for sports equipment.

JOURNAL STANDARD selected these pieces for their balanced design—neither excessive nor lacking—and high functionality, recognizing them as versatile fashion items suitable for any occasion.
