Mil-Spec Gear from San Francisco
DSPTCH
Founded in San Francisco in 2010 by designer Richard Liu, DSPTCH draws inspiration from military hardware. It began as a manufacturer of camera straps. The camera straps, made with mil-spec nylon known for its abrasion resistance and parachute cord, quickly gained attention from photographers for their functionality and high quality. Their minimalist design was also well-received, making them instantly popular.
Subsequently, the brand expanded to various collaborative products with watch brands, apparel brands, and graphic designers. Among these, a keychain for Chevrolet garnered significant buzz. DSPTCH established a reputation for both popularity and proven performance.
From the Fall/Winter 2013 collection, DSPTCH began offering items such as business bags, backpacks, and cases for PCs and iPads. All products are constructed with highly durable materials, including water-repellent 1680-denier ballistic nylon, Duraflex zippers, and mil-spec webbing.
In 2014, the brand opened its first standalone shop in San Francisco. With sales channels in 35 countries worldwide, DSPTCH achieved remarkable growth in a short period.
At JOURNAL STANDARD, we've focused on DSPTCH's highly functional items that utilize mil-spec components from their extensive lineup, launching our selection this season. The collection features products that appeal to the male sensibility, with designs heavily influenced by military aesthetics, incorporating various functional gimmicks and eschewing ornamentation. We confidently offer these items, designed for a wide range of uses from daily life to travel and business trips, as pieces to be cherished for years to come.
