A Serene Atmosphere Enhanced by Houseplants and Antique Fixtures
JOURNAL STANDARD Omotesando spans three floors, from B1F to 2F. The overall design is based on an East Coast American aesthetic, imbued with the authentic atmosphere characteristic of JOURNAL STANDARD. Each floor features displays artfully arranged with antique fixtures, inviting shoppers into the seasonal world presented by the store.
1F MENS FLOOR (Wear, Goods, Watch, Shop in Shop, Journal Standard TRISECT, etc…)
Upon entering, your eyes are first drawn to a large tree, exuding a sense of comfort and hinting at the possibility of discovering truly special items. Immediately to your right is the "Popup Corner," which changes monthly, featuring select trendy import brands curated for the season. These selections, chosen by buyers from around the world, are essential for staying abreast of trends.
Continuing on the tiled floor, you'll find a space dedicated to refined, classic American casual wear, a hallmark of JOURNAL STANDARD. This floor offers a wide range of items, from tops to bottoms, allowing for a cohesive shopping experience. The meticulously crafted displays, incorporating seasonal trends, also serve as inspiration for coordinating outfits.
To the left is the extensive accessories section, unique to JOURNAL STANDARD Omotesando. A wide array of sunglasses and accessories perfect for spring and summer are displayed, transitioning to leather bags and woolen accessories in the fall and winter. With everything from timeless staples to one-of-a-kind pieces, this area is a must-see.
At the very back of the first floor, you'll find a rich selection of playful jacket styles from "Journal Standard TRISECT." This section offers new ways to wear jackets, going beyond simple "smart casual" to present innovative styling possibilities. Those looking to enjoy a unique take on dressed-up looks will find this area particularly appealing.
Here, you can also find classic footwear from brands like Alden and Crockett & Jones.
B1F MENS FLOOR (Wear, Goods, Shop in Shop, J.S.Homestead, etc…)
The "Shop in Shop" featuring noteworthy brands, updated every one to two months, is a highlight. The curated selections, filtered through JOURNAL STANDARD's unique perspective, are essential viewing. The displays, incorporating the distinct world of each brand, allow for a deeper appreciation of their appeal. This is also an opportunity to see a wider variety of items than typically available, so take your time exploring. Towards the back left, you'll find a range of accessories, from sneakers to casual leather shoes and bags. This floor, with its particularly refined ambiance, presents even familiar staple accessories with a fresh perspective, alongside trendy pieces.
The back right area is dedicated to "J.S.Homestead," which offers a contemporary take on classic American casual wear. This space features denim items, workwear, and military-inspired casuals, all central to the brand's identity.
All items are "Made in Japan," with a focus on quality materials. These pieces are essential for anyone aiming for a superior, yet basic, style. Even if you already own similar items, the contemporary washes and arrangements offer a refreshing surprise.
2F LADY’S FLOOR (Wear, Goods, Shop in Shop, etc…)
Ascending the stairs, you'll find the shop-in-shop area directly ahead, showcasing brands highly recommended by our buyers, similar to the men's floor. This is a key section featuring carefully selected items. Moving left from there, you'll discover a space that evokes the thrill of treasure hunting in an overseas market. With monthly updates reflecting themes and seasons, each visit promises new discoveries.
Beyond the checkout counter, where accessories are displayed, the right side opens into a space of effortless chic, perfect for the sophisticated modern woman. The concept, brands, and color palettes are updated seasonally, with a clean, organized display for each item. The tranquil atmosphere, where time seems to flow gently, is also a significant charm.
