The outdoor wear brand "North by Northeast," which made a comeback in 2019, has released its 2020 Spring/Summer collection, following the 2019 Autumn/Winter collection. The lineup features items that blend modern, standard designs with high functionality.

North by Northeast is a fashion brand founded in Rhode Island, in the northeastern United States.

Its history dates back to the early 1940s. Initially, the company manufactured foam materials used in furniture, which later found use as mattress pads for camping.

These outdoor items were named "Pak foam," and the brand gained attention as a pioneer in the burgeoning outdoor industry of the time.

The product line expanded to include a full range of camping accessories such as gloves and blankets, as well as pile and fleece wear, evolving into a total outdoor brand. In 1980, the brand name was changed to "North by Northeast" to better express the appeal of its items.

From the 80s to the 90s, the brand focused on producing staple outdoor fashion items like mountain parkas and fleece, gaining recognition not only in the US but also in neighboring countries. It continued to offer standard utility items until its temporary hiatus in 1999.

Twenty years after its suspension, "North by Northeast" made a triumphant return in 2019.
