“Total Wellness Experience at a Hotel” PART-2
The “Conrad Stay, Run & Eat supported by adidas” plan at Conrad Tokyo, offering a total wellness experience centered around running, is based on the principles of “Exercise, Nutrition, and Rest” advocated by charismatic personal trainer Shuichi James Nakano. Mr. Nakano stated, “We hope that by experiencing this plan, guests will gain a comprehensive understanding of wellness, not just running, and find it beneficial in their future lifestyles.”
Enjoy the Special Plan from a Perspective of “Learning,” Not Just “Experiencing”
The special plan, “Conrad Stay, Run & Eat supported by adidas,” available until March 31, 2010, is planned according to the “Three Principles of Wellness” advocated by Shuichi James Nakano.
“Exercise (Running)” features a variety of six running courses, enjoyable for beginners to advanced runners, starting from Conrad Tokyo.
“Nutrition (foods)” offers a recovery menu based on Mr. Nakano's theories, created by Albert Tse, Head Chef of Chinese restaurant “China Blue.”
“Rest (recovery)” is planned for the comfortable guest rooms, focusing on recovery to ensure deep sleep, plus alpha.
The plan, which integrates the above “Exercise, Nutrition, and Rest” at a high level, aims not just for a momentary experience but to be beneficial in everyday life thereafter.
For running, you can choose a course according to your level, and those who wish can run with a personal trainer (for a fee). Furthermore, the plan includes stylish and functional adidas “adidas-premiumsports” wear.
The meal is a healthy special menu created with the basic 14 food groups in mind (cereals, fruits, potatoes, meat, seafood, dairy products, eggs, pale vegetables, green and yellow vegetables, beans and soy products, seaweed, mushrooms, oils, and treats). Eggs and dairy products not included in dinner are available for breakfast. Mr. Nakano commented, “My top recommendation from the menu is the Braised Pork Belly in Black Vinegar Sauce with Lemongrass. Korean pork is rich in collagen, and pork plus garlic prolongs the storage time of vitamin B1 in the blood. This substantial dish is only 880kcal. Please use it as a reference for balancing your meals.”
In addition, the plan includes a recovery program that top athletes actually use for fatigue recovery and relaxation, in addition to relaxing in spacious luxury rooms of 48㎡ or more. Choose one from “Sports Oil Massage,” “Aqua Relaxation,” and “Stretch Pole & Personal Stretch” to relieve the day's fatigue within the day.
