Vara
A Ribbon and Metal Plate, Never Too Sweet.
A Signature of Abundant Happiness.
The 'Vara,' with its couture-like grosgrain ribbon and modern metal plate, captured the hearts of women who favor a sophisticated edge, becoming a sensation. It first appeared in 1978. Fiamma, the eldest daughter of founder Salvatore Ferragamo, developed it through trial and error, concluding that 'low heels and rounded toes are the most comfortable.' It became the motif adorning these iconic pumps. Today, it graces high heels and bags, a subtle yet expressive signature that conveys the pride of a top brand.

The early 'Vara'...
Appeared on low-heeled pumps.
Born in 1978, the 'Vara' motif adorned rounded-toe low heels. Subsequently, 'Vara' became synonymous with comfortable Ferragamo shoes.
Gancini
Inspired by the Hook Clasp.
An Ever-Evolving, Timeless Icon.
'Gancini' is Italian for金具, referring to metal fittings such as fishing hooks or clasps. This motif, which also serves as a functional closure for bags, is captivating for its design versatility, continuously evolving with different materials and details. Already featured on bags in the 1950s and adorning knitwear and shoes in the 1980s, it firmly established itself as the face of Ferragamo. This spring sees the debut of a playful new bag where the handle itself is a 'Gancini,' demonstrating its growth into an icon that captures the hearts of women across generations.

The iconic 'Gancini' bag...
A Classic Top-Handle Bag.
This type of top-handle bag is considered the representative work of the 'Gancini' motif. The first was crafted from lustrous crocodile leather in 1992.
