Traditional Weatherwear first collaborated with the new and unique Tokyo brand, beautiful people, in the Autumn/Winter 2008 season. This season sees the popular trench and quilted jackets updated with fur, and the introduction of a new field jacket.

"We reconsidered the meaning of wearing a thick coat in the city," says Hidehisa Kumagai, designer at beautiful people.
"Rather than sacrificing the functional aspects or traditional details of outdoor items just because they're for city wear, we've maintained authentic specifications while adapting them to beautiful people's signature sizing, creating designs that allow for a sophisticated cuteness."

Regarding styling, he adds, "We've added fur to rugged items to make them glamorous, and even rainwear looks cute on a sunny day. Heavyweight items, reminiscent of menswear, become charming through their sizing. We want people to enjoy styling them with a sense of gap, unconstrained by the conventional image of how these items should be worn."

In 2006, four individuals with experience at domestic and international brands debuted their collection under the name "beautiful people." Since then, they have presented womenswear with unique concepts.
