#38 The Legendary "Tom Altman Shop" Collection
ANTIQUE SHOES / 1982
These are the remaining stock (ha!) from the "Tom Altman Shop" that used to be in Shibuya, which we featured in the 30th installment of this series.
I sourced them from Thomas Altman and displayed them in the shop, but these kinds of shoes rarely sold. Only vintage 501s and such would move.
The antique mesh shoes featured above were purchased in Los Angeles (LA). Including those from the "Tom Altman Club," I haven't worn them out of reverence.

Purchased at "Cowboy & Poodle" in LA
#39 On Rainy Days, Wear Campanile
Campanile

Campanile, based in Rome, was a major Italian ready-to-wear shoe manufacturer, creating elegant shoes with slender, long lasts. They cost around 38,000 yen in Italy at the time. I'd buy pairs I liked, have rubber soles added, and wear them as rain shoes.
