This photo is from November 2006. I was so moved by the blue of the sky when I went to the Canary Islands for a shoot for 'BRUTUS' that I took this snap! My expression is so half-hearted, and my hands and face... I look like I don't care about my outfit at all (laughs).
By this time, the shoot was already over, and we were on our way to cover a hotel for mountain men, a tie-in for island tourism, which was arranged for the end. I was really slacking off... (laughs).
I'm wearing a Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2005 polo shirt with a Fall/Winter 2006 jacket. It's a completely impossible combination, but I think I just didn't care anymore. The air was thin at high altitude, and my head must have been fuzzy.
The sunglasses, which look like they'd suit a brandy glass, are Bottega Veneta. The chinos are from CICATA, a staple in my wardrobe. The shoes are Pierre Hardy, which I bought in November 2005 at Dover Street Market in London. You definitely won't find anyone wearing white shoes like these in such a serious mountain area. The fashion shoot proceeded without a hitch, but my off-duty time was spent in utter foolishness.
