Maurice Ohayon, the Caviar Connoisseur

My apologies for delving into such old memories.

I was certainly shooting a lot back then. I believe this was the day after the Milan Men's Collections concluded. Before heading to Paris, I had an early morning shoot for 'CASA BRUTUS' at the GUCCI CAFE in the Duomo. In the afternoon, I shot for 'Fashion News Mens' at the DOLCE & GABBANA showroom.

After that, I shot more for 'Fashion News Mens' in my room at HOTEL BVLGARI, where I was staying. I recall being utterly exhausted that night.

During the first half of my time in Milan then, I was incredibly busy, partly due to the crew from the TV program 'Jōnetsu Tairiku' (MBS network) shadowing me for interviews. ...Well, I'm always busy, aren't I?

For this day's outfit, the pants were bootcut by NOTIFY. I loved how they used bias cuts, and I wore them often. The pockets were easy to slip my hands into, making them great pants that felt like bell-bottoms.
Maurice, the designer and president of NOTIFY, is now incredibly active, handling collaborations with Stella McCartney and directing collections like Karl Lagerfeld Jeans, among other ventures. Of course, NOTIFY continues to do exceptionally well. He often takes me to a caviar bar in Paris, and the caviar there is simply exquisite. ...Ah, now I'm thinking about it. I want some caviar...

The sweater was a V-neck from BALENCIAGA, and the sneakers were from Dior Homme. The camera is a LEICA M6. In the distance, at the GUCCI CAFE shoot, you can see stylist Masahiro Murase. He had already graduated from being my assistant by this time, but since I was suddenly shooting overseas, he was on hand from the collections to help out as an impromptu assistant.
