The Styling of "2005 2.14"

This photograph was taken on the set of MIRACLE CLOSET, a series I shoot for CASA BRUTUS magazine.
The item I'm wearing on my nose is a display piece from an interior shop in Aoyama, which we borrowed for the shoot.
I'm not sure what it is.

I don't recall where this coat, or perhaps jacket, is from.
There's bold stitching on the shoulders and collar. I'm wearing it buttoned up to the neck, and I often favor this kind of uniform-like styling.

For example, I might wear a turtleneck sweater neatly, button a shirt all the way to the top, or fasten a bow tie or narrow tie.

I suspect it's because my posture isn't great and I often have a vacant expression that I feel I need to dress overly neatly to achieve the right balance of looseness.

If I were the type to stand ramrod straight, with perfect teeth and a muscular physique, I imagine my styling preferences would be quite different.

Discussing my encounter with ALDEN and its appeal (3)

To take an extreme example, wouldn't it be incredibly cool to see someone like Keith Richards or Johnny Depp, whose natural impression is grunge, wear a Savile Row or Neapolitan couture suit perfectly, adhering strictly to the rules? The appeal lies in the contrast with the wearer's inherent dishevelment.

Conversely, there's certainly an appeal to someone conventionally attractive dressing in a more relaxed way. However, that feels like a rather standard male approach, and personally, I find it a bit dull. Of course, in terms of TPO, the latter is the more conventional path.

...Speaking of TPO, friends often tell me I 'don't read the room.' This is usually because I'm not dressed in the expected attire for formal occasions like weddings or funerals.
But from my perspective, I attend these events with genuine sincerity in my chosen outfit, and lately, I've been dressing up with the expectation of receiving such comments.
