From Spring/Summer 2014, DIESEL is revamping its women's shoe and bag collection. Ahead of the collection's release, a global launch event, the world's first unveiling, was held at TABLOID in Tokyo. The campaign, themed "EROTICA," is spearheaded by Nicola Formichetti, who was appointed Artistic Director this past April. Over 1,000 guests, including celebrities from various fields, gathered for a stimulating presentation.

An "EROTICA" Night Curated by Nicola!



Upon entering, guests were immediately immersed in a sensual world inspired by an S&M shop. Moving further in, the Spring/Summer 2014 accessory collection was revealed. Titled "ROCKING THE WORLD OF ACCESSORIES," the collection is presented across six categories: "SHIBARI," "Sexy Bullet," "Atomic Blondie," "Animal Instinct," "Cubist Rock," and "Pop It Up."

Particularly drawing attention was the "SHIBARI" series, featuring bags and shoes adorned with leather straps in a bondage-like style. Crafted from black leather and denim, these sexy yet powerful items became the focus of many cameras. The "Sexy Bullet" series, characterized by bullet-inspired rivets and mirrored silver accents, also showcased DIESEL's signature rock spirit. The new collection offers items that retain DIESEL's elegance while being stronger and more erotic than ever before, as expected.

Ascending to the second floor, surrounded by alluring displays, guests found themselves in a space reminiscent of an adult basement, illuminated by red neon lights. Within a fenced ring, women in bondage attire performed pole dances and catfights. The VIP area was graced by Japanese celebrities, DIESEL Founder and President Renzo Rosso, Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti, model Georgia May Jagger, and campaign model Tessa Claig.

Another room offered a club space, where specially prepared finger foods were served, continuing the theme of sweet and erotic indulgence. The show culminated with a runway-style presentation of the shoe and bag collection on the main stage.

Following this, Brooke Candy, whom Nicola identifies as the next Lady Gaga and has cast as the campaign model, began her live performance. A rapper, performer, and stripper, she is a muse for a new generation, captivating all with her powerful presence.

This global launch event was imbued with a sensual and stylish aesthetic throughout. It was not only a testament to the strong synergy between Nicola Formichetti and DIESEL but also a historic night that sparks great anticipation for future developments.
