Expressing the Intersection of Virtual and Real Worlds Through "AR" Technology
Kazuki Umezawa, currently exhibiting in the "LOVE展" at the Mori Art Museum, is an emerging artist who creates collage works using images and data diffused across the internet as his material. His pieces are embedded with a vast number of character motifs, making it difficult to trace their origins within a unified RGB color scheme. However, fragments of data embedded within are averaged and, through his reassembly, reveal new developments.
This exhibition comprises numerous new works. Collaborating with the AR Three Brothers, who continually expand the possibilities of media through various expressive methods using the latest "AR" technology, a major work incorporating "AR" will also be featured. By viewing works embedded with "AR" through a device, the character motifs that appear in the real world will return to the monitor. This presents a new intersection of the virtual and real worlds, transcending the boundaries of "painting."
Additionally, during the exhibition period, original merchandise will be available for purchase at the DIESEL ART GALLERY alongside the displayed works. "AR" technology is becoming increasingly accessible. We invite you to experience this future of art that transcends the real world.
