Kaji Orimono, a Nishijin-ori manufacturer, produces Nishijin masks, which are now available for sale on their self-operated website, "nishijin mask."

Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, masks have become a fashion statement. In response, Kaji Orimono, a Nishijin-ori textile manufacturer in Kyoto with over 150 years of history, has created masks from beautiful fabrics. Rather than repurposing existing materials, these masks were designed from the ground up specifically for mask use, with careful consideration given to how they appear when worn.
Of course, the focus isn't solely on aesthetic beauty; functionality is also paramount. The lining is made from sportswear fabric that offers moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and UV-cut properties, ensuring relatively less stuffiness even in warmer weather. Although crafted from Nishijin-ori fabric, the masks can be hand-washed and reused.
Custom mask creation is also available. These stylish masks are sure to be a well-received gift.
