Shinwa Planning began selling "Summer Non-Woven Masks" on July 29, 2020, receiving orders for 30,000 boxes (1.5 million masks) in two days and selling out the first production run. Following requests for a restock, a relaunch online was decided for August 11, 2020 (Tuesday).

Summer is in full swing, but cases of coronavirus are again trending upward nationwide. While mask-wearing is recommended as much as possible to prevent the spread of infection, concerns arise in the summer about facial hygiene due to sweat and the risk of heatstroke. To address this, Shinwa Planning's "Summer Non-Woven Masks," made with a lightweight non-woven fabric, became available online starting August 11, 2020 (Tuesday).

During the sweaty season, it is preferable from a hygiene perspective to change and wear a new non-woven mask each day. This mask achieves approximately 30% weight reduction by decreasing the density of the outer (two-layer) non-woven cover from 25 grams (standard mask density) to 15 grams, and the density of the central meltblown non-woven fabric from 25g (standard mask density) to 20 grams. Like conventional non-woven masks, it utilizes a three-layer structure filter to block pollen and dust, and the nose-fit wire ensures a secure fit to the face, offering expected protection against droplet dispersal.
