TARU HOLIC, Japan's first mini barrel made of Spanish oak, has launched on the crowdfunding site Makuake. Reservations are now open for a limited quantity.

TARU HOLIC, developed by Falca LLC, is a mini barrel crafted by artisans using traditional methods to enhance the flavor of whisky and shochu.

The material used is rare Spanish oak, known for its rich aroma and abundant flavor compounds that contribute to a complex taste. Its flavor profile surpasses that of American white oak, which is more commonly used.

TARU HOLIC is available in three sizes: 1L, 2L, and 3L. Despite their mini size, all barrels are constructed from exceptionally thick 18mm staves and feature a 'medium char' – a traditional barrel-making process.

Furthermore, the smaller surface area ratio of liquid to oak in a mini barrel allows for faster extraction of aromas and compounds compared to larger barrels. Even a single day of aging can alter the aroma, color, and taste of new spirits. You can enjoy the fragrant aroma of oak and a complex, deep flavor in a short period.
