Your Own Super Notebook: The "SBN"

Noritake is an illustrator active both domestically and internationally, known for his exhibitions, mural productions, and editorial work. In recent years, he has also focused on developing his own products, some of which are even sold in the MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art) souvenir shop. Now, he has released his latest creation: the "Super Binding Notebook," or "SBN" for short.

Where Daily Life and Ideas Intersect to Create Your Personal Notebook

The "SBN" was born from Noritake's own use of a notebook combined with a binder. He would secure half-folded A4 papers with rubber bands onto thick cardstock, using it as a notebook and a place to store received documents. Printed papers became notebook pages, accumulating ideas and meeting notes daily.

The "SBN," completed after refining the prototype, comes with nine sheets of paper (36 pages). The system allows users to add content as needed, and remove or discard pages they no longer require. As pages accumulate, they form a collection of ideas, disregarding strict order or chronology.

The cover is made of thick cardstock, chosen for its strength and texture. Furthermore, the folded-over section, which can be used as a bookmark, features a groove, allowing it to accommodate an even thicker stack of pages as they are added. While a simple manual is included for reference, the usage is fundamentally freeform. Your own notebook will take shape as daily life and ideas intertwine.
