Introducing Wasai Roll: Fabric's Unique Potential for Modern Life

Takeda Sarashi Kojo, established in 1911, began its traditional Japanese fabric bleaching process using the pure waters of the Ishizu River in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. In 2020, this long-standing manufacturer introduced a new product: the Wasai Roll. It's an innovative and remarkably economical and practical item, offering a sustainable alternative to disposable kitchen paper.

Wasai is a soft, highly absorbent fabric created by boiling the cloth in a cauldron for several days to remove impurities. It is traditionally used for Japanese hand towels, yukata, and abdominal bands for safe childbirth.
We'd like to highlight the "Wasai Roll" by Takeda Sarashi Kojo, based in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture.
This roll-type Wasai fabric is soft and highly absorbent, making it a more economical and environmentally conscious choice than using kitchen paper.
Available in two types—one with convenient perforations and another without, allowing you to cut it to your desired length—it's versatile for various uses such as wiping, wrapping, straining, and lining. Its crisp texture means it can be washed and reused repeatedly.
As an all-purpose cloth for everyday tasks, its potential is immeasurable for cleaning, kitchen use, and household chores.
