Part of BoConcept's Spring 2013 New Arrivals

The "smartville" collection, born from a shared concept of providing urban design that maximizes the use of limited living space for a "smart" and comfortable life, features furniture and interior accessories.

The collection incorporates the solutions of the smart micro-compact car into the design of the "smartville Furniture & Accessories." It includes sofas in the same leather color as the car's seats with yellow stitching, living chairs reflecting the shape of the car's seats, and playful interior accessories.

Klaus Ditlev Jensen, BoConcept's Collection Director, commented, "For me, smart is more than just a car. It's a statement of urban living and the perfect city car, in that it possesses beautiful, functional design. Both smart and BoConcept have accumulated many years of experience in their respective fields. We have poured a great deal of that knowledge and understanding into creating comfortable urban living. We share a commitment and have strongly, strongly focused on urban life. The result is intelligent design that is both modern and aesthetically pleasing."

On the same day as the launch of the smartville Furniture & Accessories, Tuesday, March 5th, BoConcept will also release the "smart fortwo BoConcept signature style," a special limited edition car (only 1 unit available in Japan) that incorporates BoConcept's solutions for creating comfort, convenience, and relaxation in the home into the car's interior.

Talk Event Held at BoConcept Shinjuku Store

BoConcept Shinjuku Store will host a talk event on "Practical Interior Coordination Techniques" on Saturday, March 2nd. The event will showcase examples of creating a total living space, including interior accessories, for those starting a new life this spring or looking to refresh their mood by changing their interiors. Participants can submit interior-related questions or requests via email in advance. Attendees will also receive a 10% discount on all accessories (valid for purchases made on the day of the event).
