The Ultimate Bottle by Glass Artist Peter Ivy
Glass artist Peter Ivy has established the "Ryudo Kenkyujo" (Fluid Dynamics Laboratory) in Toyama Prefecture, where he creates a wide range of works, from everyday tableware to art pieces. His creations, born from the concept of "making works whose beauty is completed through use," are warm and exceptionally practical. The bottle released this time is one such piece. While simple in appearance, it is a masterpiece that showcases the new possibilities of blown glass.

Peter Ivy Carries It Like a Water Bottle
With its gentle curves and occasional air bubbles, Peter Ivy's bottle evokes a sense of distant memory simply by its presence.
This bottle can be used as a kitchen item for dressings or homemade juices, or it can be transformed into a room fragrance by inserting sandalwood sticks soaked in aroma oil. The possibilities are endless. Incidentally, Peter himself carries this bottle filled with beverages, much like a plastic water bottle.
The details are meticulously crafted, with the cork stopper and neck ring each having a unique shape. It is a truly one-and-only piece, yet when several are placed together, they create a distinct collective beauty. Imagining how this bottle might be placed as a dining centerpiece, by the entrance, on an office desk, or as a shop display, brings a sense of warmth.
