The Kids' Version of "Arne Jacobsen’s Vintage ABC" Series
DESIGN LETTERS is a Danish brand founded in 2009 that has created an unprecedented niche in the interior design field by transforming typography into sophisticated products. Its signature "Arne Jacobsen’s Vintage ABC" series, which reimagines the beautiful typography hand-drawn by the world-renowned Danish architect Arne Jacobsen in 1937 into refined, contemporary products, is beloved worldwide.
From the 2015 collection unveiled at "Maison & Objet" in Paris in January and "Ambiente" in Frankfurt in February, new kids' items have arrived in Japan. Exclusive pre-sales have begun at the ACTUS Futako Tamagawa store, which enhances its selection of children's furniture and accessories with the shop concept of "UP FOR IT (maturing, the city, people, and ACTUS)."
The "Wood Number Cubes" and "Wood Letter Cubes," which allow children to playfully create words by combining numbers and letters, are excellent designs that can also be used for children's educational development, creating calendars or messages, and even in offices or around desks. The children's tableware made of melamine, which was a huge hit upon its launch in Japan last year and is safe for children, will also welcome additions from the Arne Jacobsen’s Vintage ABC series.
Stylish Design That Elevates Any Space
Additionally, a memory game that combines stimulating design with educational value for children's development has been introduced. It includes two cards each of letters A through Z, for a total of 52 cards, allowing children to learn the alphabet while having fun combining the cards.
Also new is a paint book, featuring stylish designs based on the graphic art created by Arne Jacobsen in 1937. This is a novel type of item that allows children to learn letters while coloring and playing with the alphabet and graphic art.
The colored pencils to go with the paint book come in a set of 15 colors in a cylindrical case. They will transform not only children's rooms but also offices and desks into stylish spaces.
