Introducing the Capelli Stool: Elegant Structure, Beautiful Style
Herman Miller Japan has released the "Capelli Stool," designed by Boston-based designer Carol Catalano.
Text by KAJII Makoto (OPENERS)
Silver Prize at the 1999 Asahikawa International Furniture Competition
The "Capelli Stool" was inspired by the designer Carol Catalano's own hands, interlaced. Its structure combines two molded plywood pieces, with interlocking slits that act as fasteners, securely holding the stool together.
No tools are required for assembly. When not in use, it can be disassembled and stacked for storage. The Capelli Stool, with its comfortable seating and unique, elegant structure, is beautiful enough to be admired simply as a room accent.
