Creators Gaining Global Attention Unveil New Works for AKASHIC RECORDS 3.5

MILKBOYTOYS is the toy brand of MILKBOY, based in Harajuku. The character 'IT BEAR', born from the concept 'An inhabitant of a fictional horror amusement park. No one has ever seen inside...', has been widely developed by MEDICOM TOY since 2017 in various forms such as Sofubi, BE@RBRICK, and VAG.

Formed in the summer of 2017 by art school students residing in Tokyo. They primarily showcase their work on Instagram. The members, who grew up immersed in toy culture from the 90s to the 2000s, create toys they themselves fantasize about owning. Their diverse series include signature works like 'X X (Abandoned Toy)', 'Tokyo Stroll', and 'Mysterious Gummy Toy Series'. They also pursue the potential of toys through various endeavors such as creating manga series, producing music with mini records, and crafting nostalgic items beyond Sofubi, including cards and plush toys.
A green colorway of 'X X (Abandoned Toy)', which was also featured in VAG (VINYL ARTIST GACHA) SERIES 32.

Her work expresses the innocence and purity of childhood, as well as the melancholy that emerges in adulthood, using vibrant colors contrasted with deep, dark hues and forms, inspired by her own life. Since 2002, she has held solo exhibitions in galleries and events both domestically and internationally. From 2014, she has actively expanded her creative scope to include commercial fields such as sculpting, painting, and selling Sofubi figures.
The highly popular 'FUTENEKO' Sofubi figure is now available in a cherry blossom color. Includes a dog tag.

An independent puppet animation production team centered around Hideto Nakata, with sculpting expertise from Kenki Matsuo and Hirokazu Hosoi. They have participated in numerous screening and exhibition events with their unique handcrafted visual style. Their short film releases led to them being selected as Kyoto City Special Art and Culture Encouragement recipients and winning the Goto Memorial Cultural Award for New Artists in Art. Their animated film 'The Love of the Telegraph Pole Emi', a quiet love story between a human and a telegraph pole, received the Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival and the Daito Shunkai Award for its sophisticated three-dimensional animation expression at the Mainichi Film Awards, Japan's most historic film competition. They are currently focused on producing their next stop-motion animation.
Film director and actor. He began making films as a student and, at the young age of 23, wrote, directed, and starred in '19'. Praised by Agnes B., a renowned film enthusiast, the film was released in Europe and Asia with her support. His directorial works include 'Shinsengumi of the Dead' (starring Yuki Himura of Banana Man) and 'Samurai Sensei' (starring Hayato Ichihara). As an actor, he has appeared in films such as Takashi Miike's 'Visitor Q' and Kaizo Hayashi's 'Detective Agency 5'. His film 'Captain Tokio' (starring Eiji Wentz), set in a Tokyo devastated by a major earthquake, was inspired by the 'Golden City' chapter of 'Violence Jack'.
This is a life-sized, three-dimensional recreation of the 'Book of Demons' from Go Nagai's masterpiece 'Devilman', which was the key to the protagonist Akira Fudo gaining his demonic powers.

Born in 2002. Raised by creative parents, they began producing three-dimensional works from a young age. Their style, which blends figurative and abstract elements in sculptural expression, was already established by the age of seven. They admire art from all eras, from ancient times to the present, with a particular influence from the Jomon period. The 'Lucid Dream' presented here is their official debut work.

From 1998 to 2018, he was responsible for the PK visuals of MEDICOM TOY's RAH series for approximately 20 years. Since 2000, he has presented his unique series of "fake flyers" at various venues. While active in diverse media, including book covers, music, and movie posters, he launched the apparel brand 'Sugawara Yoshito Planning' (Bandai) in 2007 and the 'Sugawara Yoshito WORKS' jigsaw puzzle series (Ensky) in 2016. After a 30-year career as an illustrator, his debut as an artist garnered attention with his first art exhibition, 'Yoshi Sugawara POP ART Exhibition - DEBUT', held at Tokyo Kagurazaka Session House in 2022. He is the world's first officially licensed artist by Bruce Lee Enterprises.
This piece is inspired by "Visual Theater" such as Instagram and TikTok. It captures the precariousness and ephemerality of entertainment, which can vanish in an instant due to communication errors, much like fleeting blossoms.

In 2008, she won the Grand Prize for Monchhichi Dress Design at the Monchhichi Dress Design Contest. In 2009, she began her career as an artist after being selected as a finalist for the FEWMANY AWARD. In 2016, she announced 'MORRIS The Cat with Antlers', a character she designed and sculpted with a concept for character development, which gained worldwide popularity. This time, she will present 'KAORI HINATA x Midnight Circus ONE-OFF PROP MORRIS' and 'JAM MORRIS', which she has custom-painted herself.

From Nagoya to the world. In 2017, Shelterbank made a spectacular global debut with 'FANG', a fabric figure incorporating a bendable mechanism. The following year, they achieved record success at the D-CON in Anaheim, and in 2019, collaborated with the renowned design studio House Industries to release 'JACK THE FOX'. They have released numerous items with MEDICOM TOY, including the Sofubi 'MUTRON' and VAG 'VONGO'. This time, they will present the second series of 'SHELTERBANK HEDORAH Complete Dissection Diagram', which was highly acclaimed at last year's 'AKASHIC RECORDS 3 ~ from Illuminati ~'.
