Always Up-to-Date with Firmware Updates

In developing the new mirrorless system camera, the "Leica SL2," Leica refined its existing functions, performance, and design based on valuable feedback from photographers and users of theLeica SLsystem.
The result is the "Leica SL2."
Despite its compact body, the pursuit of ergonomic design has resulted in a camera that offers a "joy of operating a camera."
It offers a more comfortable hold, with a simple layout featuring only three buttons to the left of the rear monitor. Furthermore, the menu items for still photography and video recording are independent, allowing for separate settings for each shooting mode.
The touchscreen LCD monitor is 3.2 inches with 2.1 million dots, providing a larger, high-definition screen for improved operability. The EyeRes® electronic viewfinder also features a higher resolution of 5.76 million dots.
Regular firmware updates to the latest version ensure the camera becomes more user-friendly and allows for shooting with the latest features and performance in the future.
The camera features a 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor with an astonishing 47.3 megapixels, delivering exceptional resolution and image quality.
With its wide dynamic range, 14-bit color depth per RGB channel, and high ISO sensitivity up to 50,000, it can capture scenes beautifully and vividly regardless of lighting conditions.
A significant advancement in performance is the inclusion of an image stabilization system. This allows for shooting with reduced camera shake, even when using prime lenses from the SL or M systems that do not have built-in stabilization.
The lens mount is the L-Mount, compatible with SL lenses and TL lenses. Additionally, M, S, and R lenses can be attached via adapters.
The "LEICA MAESTRO III" image processor is employed, enhancing processing power and speeding up various shooting functions.
Autofocus allows for shooting with minimal shutter lag in all situations. A new autofocus feature is the "Intelligent AF Function," which automatically switches between AFs and AFc based on subject movement.
Video recording capabilities are also robust. The camera can shoot cinema 4K (C4K) at up to 60fps and Full HD at up to 180fps. New microphone and headphone jacks have been added, eliminating the need for an adapter to connect audio devices.
With IP54-rated dust and splash resistance, it can be used for shooting even in adverse weather conditions. The "Leica SL2" inherits the traditions of the SL system while incorporating updates for the future.
