Leica's First-Ever Olive Green M Lens Debuts

Throughout Leica's long history, olive green finished models have held an iconic status, highly sought after by Leica enthusiasts and collectors. The origin dates back to 1960, when the "Leica M1 Olive" was manufactured for the German military.

Its superior robustness and reliability, achieved through a heat-treated enamel coating for outdoor use, were highly praised. Subsequently, olive green "Leica M3" and "Leica M4" models were specially produced for military use. Responding to growing demand from general users, the olive green "Leica R3 Safari" was introduced in 1977. Since then, olive green models have also been released for the "Leica M6," "Leica M8.2," and "Leica M-P."



The newly released "Leica M10-P Safari" is a special limited edition model based on the "Leica M10-P", finished with an olive green paint. It comes as a set with a cowhide carrying strap and a "Leica SD Card/Credit Card Holder."

These accessories are finished in high-quality cognac-colored genuine leather, complementing the beauty of this model.

Furthermore, the "Leica Summicron Mf2/50mm Safari M Lens" in an olive green paint finish has also been released. This marks the first M lens in Leica camera's long history to feature a traditional olive green paint finish.





The focal length and feet markings are meticulously hand-painted with red enamel, creating a contrast with the white engravings. The lens is released in a limited edition of 500 units.

The "Leica M10-P Safari" and "Leica Summicron Mf2/50mm Safari" are exceptionally special models within Leica's lineup. While possessing a robust and sturdy appearance, they also exude a fashionable aura.
