By downloading the dedicated EyeTV Mobile application for free from the App Store and plugging the tuner into the Dock connector, you can easily enjoy one-seg broadcasts anytime, anywhere – during breaks, while commuting, or before bed.

The elgato eyeTV mobile comes with two types of antennas to suit different usage environments. One is a retractable rod antenna, convenient for use on the go. The other is a stationary antenna for stable reception at home or in the office. The stationary antenna can be attached to smooth surfaces like walls at a 90-degree angle using the included suction cup with a magnet.
Recording is also supported during broadcasts, allowing you to enjoy recorded programs later. The recording function operates in the background, so you can switch to other applications while recording. It also features a time-shift buffer function, settable up to approximately 76 minutes, enabling you to pause or rewind live broadcasts. Furthermore, with background operation support, you can listen to the audio of one-seg broadcasts while composing emails or using other applications, and recording will continue.
The unit has a small built-in battery, and in addition to battery operation, it can also be powered by connected devices like iPads, allowing for up to approximately 8 hours of continuous use (about 3 hours 30 minutes on the eyeTVmobile alone). Charging is done via the micro USB port using the included USB cable.
In addition to domestic one-seg broadcasts in Japan, it can also easily receive TV broadcasts in dozens of countries. You can scan for receivable channels in your region and preset them with a single touch. Switching presets allows for immediate channel selection.
