Architecture is one of the crucial elements of Benesse Art Site Naoshima, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, alongside nature and art. Architects Hiroshi Sambuichi, Kazuyo Sejima, and Ryue Nishizawa, who have been involved in projects on Naoshima, will join architectural historian and critic Taro Igarashi as coordinator to explore the past and future of Benesse Art Site Naoshima through its architecture.

Prior to the symposium, "Architectural Tours" exploring facilities designed by these architects will be held on both the 9th and 10th. We highly recommend participating in both the tours and the symposium.
