The Omotesando Store Presents a New Perspective: "Relight"

The concept behind PASS THE BATON OMOTESANDO is “SMART MODERN.” Immediately to the left upon entering the store is the “NIGOLDEN STORE,” featuring items from NIGO®, producer of “A BATHING APE®” and an artist in his own right.

Moving towards the back right reveals an adjacent gallery. Here, monthly exhibitions by creators from various fields will be held. Next to it is the “PASS COUNTER.” Personal items from the public can be submitted by appointment, with recycled goods, including their individual histories, displayed in the store.

The space, where each content element is elegantly condensed, was designed by interior designer Masamichi Katayama (Wonderwall), as was the Marunouchi store. Despite the bustling interior, the comfortable atmosphere naturally extends the time visitors spend there.

PASS THE BATON is known for its themes of Recycle, Remake, and Rethink. The Omotesando store introduces a new perspective: “Relight.” It selects items that might otherwise be discarded due to minor issues, and creates new value through PASS THE BATON’s unique viewpoint. Currently, re-imagined products from brands such as “DEAN&DELUCA,” “UNITED ARROWS LTD,” and “THEATRE PRODUCTS” are available. The store plans to actively pursue such collaborative projects with companies in the future.

PASS THE BATON OMOTESANDO allows customers to both shop and submit items in person. By connecting existing items, each individual takes a step towards a society with less waste.
