A Safe and Secure Pet Accessory Made from Cherry Wood from Gifu Prefecture's Forests

"Chew," a beloved dog toy, topped the best-selling toy category in the 2009 annual rankings of the largest pet goods mail-order magazine. It satisfies a dog's instinct to "chew" and "destroy," making it a highly popular choice for puppies teething or for dogs prone to chewing furniture.

While "Chew" was previously produced in China, in solidarity with more trees' initiative, "Chew for more trees" is now made in Japan using domestic thinned wood (cherry wood). Cherry wood has a pleasant aroma and is excellent for dogs to chew. It doesn't splinter easily, as the wood fibers don't protrude, and the fine wood dust is safe even if ingested. Furthermore, it is a safe and secure product, made without any chemical agents like pesticides, slowly air-dried, and finished without any coating.

This bone-shaped design, inspired by the more trees initiative, is the work of Keita Shimizu, a talented young product designer and supporter of more trees. Both the material and the form have been reborn.

A portion of the sales from "Chew for more trees" will be continuously donated to more trees to support forest conservation in Japan.
