Original Brand from a Purveyor to the Imperial Household
A Masterpiece to Amaze Connoisseurs: "OUTERMOST DESIGN"
In Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, the number one producer of eyewear in Japan, stands Clover, the nation's sole manufacturer that handles not only the assembly of glasses but also the integrated production of all parts, including plastic and metal. Revered for many years as a purveyor to the Imperial Household, the company's delicate and advanced craftsmanship consistently garners intense attention both domestically and internationally. We would like to introduce "OUTERMOST DESIGN," the company's original brand, a fusion of masterful technique, beautiful design, and high-quality materials.

A Symbol of Advanced Craftsmanship Only Possible at Clover
"OUTERMOST DESIGN" is based on the concept of merging traditional handmade techniques with fashionability. Designer Tomoki Kawabata, after a career in product design, now also works as an eyewear craftsman. The "style018" introduced here is a "Windsor style." It is a traditional design from England, using round lenses firmly supported by a metal frame from the back. The method of attaching the screws is inspired by German frames from the 1970s, exquisitely blending European traditional styles.

The pursuit of detail is evident in the "ch" (temple joint). The "ch" is the only movable part of the glasses, connecting the "rim" that surrounds the lens to the "temple" that rests over the ear. When the temples are extended, one can see that there is absolutely no gap in the "ch" area. It appears as if a single rod is attached to the frame. This is a testament to the high level of craftsmanship, a feat only achievable by Clover.
Naturally, the fit is exquisite. The soft touch minimizes fatigue, ensuring comfortable daily wear. Facing a mirror, one's reflection appears more intelligent, and above all, gentler, likely inspiring more effort in fashion coordination. The emergence of these high-standard eyewear pieces not only showcases their technical prowess to the world but also redefines the joy of wearing glasses.
