A Design Tableware Brand of Great Trust

"Italesse" is a "design tableware brand" founded in Trieste, Northern Italy, in 1979 by an owner who leveraged his experience in the catering industry. While boasting proven quality, functional beauty, and design that has earned the recognition of world-renowned champagne makers such as Mumm, Laurent-Perrier, and Veuve Clicquot, it also offers a wide range of items that can be easily used at home.

A Multi-Use Function Symbolizing Modernity

Italesse's standout item this year is the Icesac. As the name suggests, it is indeed used for ice, but what's unique is that it allows you to crush the ice within it. Fill the silicone body with ice, cinch the ribbon tightly, and then strike it against a kitchen table or counter. The ice inside will shatter instantly. Without the tedious work of crushing ice with an ice pick, you can prepare fine ice needed for cocktails and drinks. Its stretchable and flexible nature makes it easy to carry, perfect for outdoor use. Furthermore, it stands on its own and can be used as a single-flower vase, making it a truly multi-use product.

The Icesac comes in three color variations, symbolizing Italesse's new style: "Violet," "Warm Grey," and "Black." These chic colors lend an elegant impression to its playfully quirky form.

A Noteworthy Italian Art Director

The design is by Luca Nichetto, who has been the art director for Italesse since 2008. He has revitalized the brand's image by overseeing the design of communication tools such as catalogs and shopping bags, as well as the overall direction of products. He is a rising young Italian designer who received the "ELLE DECO Young Designer of the Year" award at the 2009 Milan Salone. We eagerly anticipate what Italesse, under his direction, will bring in 2010.
