gleam is an "ethical" furniture brand founded in 2008 by Hiroshi Takatani and Kohei Udo. For the first six years, they received orders nationwide through online sales. Their furniture has been popular for office and store fixtures, and has been used for the offices of Paris Collection brand "ANREALAGE," as well as for Patagonia's Hakuba and Kamakura stores, and LEE exhibition fixtures.

The materials used by gleam are railway sleepers, old houses, boats, and drums that have been used in various settings on the islands of the Indian Ocean. Their appeal lies in their rich texture, which cannot be found in new wood, and which evokes a sense of long history and the passage of time. The Azabu store offers tables, chairs, stools, lampshades, racks, miscellaneous goods, air plants, and books, with the aged patina of the furniture being a unique characteristic of gleam products.

Renewed concept: "Traveling Furniture"

Located in a hidden space down a small alley from the bustling Azabu Juban shopping street, the "gleam Azabu Store" is a self-renovated first floor of a classic apartment building from the 1970s. The simple interior is designed to embody the "richness of life" created by incorporating gleam's worldview and furniture.

Furthermore, with the opening of the Azabu store, the concept has been refreshed to "Traveling Furniture." The furniture, made from materials that have traveled extensively and have arrived from afar, allows one to recall their own travel memories upon touching it.

The Azabu store not only sells ready-made products but also actively offers services for creating original furniture and store fixtures tailored to specific needs, from semi-custom to full custom orders.
