TRAM
Tools Born from Nordic Life

Unadorned daily necessities with a handcrafted feel, born in the Nordic region. Tools for everyday use, nurtured by the tradition of Japanese craftsmanship. This time, we introduce TRAM, a shop in Fukuoka that primarily deals in Nordic雑貨 (zakka).

A Shop That Reminds Us of Our Connection to Things Beyond the Flow of Time

In a quiet residential area in the heart of Fukuoka city. Tucked away in a corner is a small apartment building named Kakusuisou. The handrail on the stairs leading to the second floor has a warm, well-worn feel from years of use, a building that has accumulated history.

A familiar sight, found in any town. While this apartment building reflects such an ordinary, everyday scene, it is filled with an atmosphere that makes visitors feel they are experiencing a special day.

Everyday tools brought back from small towns in Northern Europe, personally selected by the shop owner.
Inside the store, a heartwarming array of items awaits, from vessels and tools born from a designer's strong desire to improve people's lives, to daily-use items crafted with the meticulous handiwork of nameless artisans. You'll want to take them all home.

Sunlight spills softly into the shop through thin glass. The beauty of the greenery outside the window, coexisting with daily life. It all harmonizes perfectly, as if the shop itself were alive.

A simple intention to keep our daily tools neat and tidy can dramatically change our everyday lives. The tools born from Nordic life possess a tangible quality, perhaps developed in response to their challenging natural environments. The beauty of these everyday objects is not a flashy, ostentatious kind; it is a modest radiance that shines precisely because of its simplicity. In them lies an intrinsic beauty that humans can learn from.

The shop, TRAM, is filled with tools that seem to reflect the owner's warm spirit, a spirit that cherishes the effort of living each day with care. A daily life filled with gentleness, born from a thoughtful engagement with objects. It is a place that reminds us of our connection to things beyond the flow of time.
